In this story there is not any antagonist, and the protagonist are the three children: Roberta (usually called Bobbie), Peter and Phyllis. This children were obligated to leave their house in London to go to the country, and they became the railway children and they knew all the trains and the station porter, Perks became their best friend.

The other characters of this book are: Mother, Father, Jim and the old gentleman

Roberta: She is wild and she takes care of other people because she risk her life to save other´s when she stop the train

 

Peter: He is an explorer and a naughty kid because he stole coal for his family, but he is also worried about other people and his family because he want to help

 

Phyllis: She is a cute girl and she is always happy. Also she always was able to help his brothers
